Available data

Geokeys Services provides databases of analytical data relating to various categories, such as, for example:

Geocoding and normalization

Geocoding consists in reporting to the territory, determining the geographical coordinates and therefore the correct positioning on the map, the various types of data managed by the company (points of sale, prospects, residences, points of interest, and in general all the business data provided address or other possible connection to a territorial element). Geocoding is a delicate process, to be carried out in several phases to obtain the best result compatibly with the quality of the data available (e.g. cutting / correctness of addresses): to date we have both proprietary tools (optimized over the years) and other specific online tools and services for geocoding, with high speed and efficiency and able to manage large amounts of data (millions of records). We are also able to integrate automatic geocoding with semi-automatic or manual geocode activities, where deemed necessary or appropriate, using our territorial know-how, tools and different databases available. An activity often related to geocoding is the normalization of addresses, or the verification of the validity of an address and its possible correction in a standard (normalized) format.

For the generation of maps we have been using ESRI services for years, which guarantee high rendering quality and compliance with standards. ESRI is today the world's leading company in the production of tools and technology for the management and analysis of information on a geographical basis.

Enrichment of lists, ranking and marketing campaigns

Other important activities related to the territories are those related to enrichment, ranking of lists and support for marketing campaigns.

For this purpose we process lists of names coming from the customer's company (e.g. customer or prospect database, other CRM data, etc ...), to connect to the name or in any case to the element of the list, through the information associated with the address (street, municipality, postcode, etc. qualitative and/or quantitative territorial data of interest to the customer, such as: socio-demographic data, income and consumption data, territorial qualification data, etc ...

This process generates the so-called enriched lists that are of extreme interest to the company, as they are able to assign a ranking (planning priority) to strategic marketing activities for the business, and constitute a considerable help in setting up specific marketing campaigns. The possible enrichment parameters generally come from public sources, such as Istat and Ministries or other competent bodies, and are usually updated on an annual basis. Among the various parameters managed there are, for example, population (total, m/f), population by age group, families, marital status, real estate values ​​(sale, rent), family income, family expenditure (total and specific categories), auotomotive data and car fleet, ...

Big data and users analysis

A final aspect relating to our services is that related to the integration and interaction of information on the territory for the purpose of analyzing real and potential users. In order to create geo-territorial information capable of fully supporting these analyzes, we are able to retrieve and geolocalize various types of databases, including thematic ones (competition, company data for specific Ateco codes, etc ...), as well as providing databases of B2B and B2C contacts, in full compliance with current privacy regulations, thus creating customized maps based on the specific needs of our customers. An important consequent aspect is that relating to the treatment of Big Data with respect to which we have been operating for some time with the appropriate tools and methodologies.

Aggregate databases

We are also able to provide aggregate databases on specific territorial areas (from the Istat census sections to the administrative units such as municipalities, postal codes, etc ... or other territorial units, however defined), starting from specific databases, suitably geolocated on the territory, or aggregate databases at a different territorial level. This operation generally allows for a harmonization of information on the territory, thus facilitating the analyzes, and takes into account some assumptions on a statistical basis about the aggregation methodology for specific areas, such as:

- people tend to aggregate among "similar" ones, with comparable lifestyles;

- people choose to live in neighborhoods in line with their economic possibilities and that are "representative";

- urban planning constraints and the real estate market do not facilitate too many "mixes";

- the physical and structural characteristics of the census sections change very slowly over time.

​In summary, we are therefore able to provide revised data from various public and private sources, containing information directly or indirectly linked to the territory, through qualitative and quantitative data aggregated on the selected basic territorial units.
